We’re so excited to introduce the latest in the Urbanears Edition line-up, the Plattan Tweed Edition. This very special Plattan is enveloped in hand-woven Harris Tweed, made from 100 percent virgin wool which is spun and woven in the outer Hebridges – a tradition that dates back more than 150 years.
The Plattan Tweed Edition is part of a range of Urbanears headphones designed with a little something extra. Previous models have included the Plattan Denim Edition and the Plattan Quilted Edition. These won’t be around forever, so snap them up while you can!

Zinken is finally here. Check it out in action in this video.
Now that you’ve become a bit more familiar with the look and feel of Zinken, we thought we’d tell you more about how it sounds. Some words of warning though: you’ll have to hear it to believe it.
During the testing phase of Zinken, we spoke to a wide variety of DJs – those who play to sold out arenas and to those who only dream of making it big time. We found that not only were they looking for a headphone that was comfortable to wear, but also comfortable to listen to for hours on end.
Zinken is designed to provide superior noise isolation so that it excels in DJs environments, while bringing you a sound that’s relaxed and warm, making your listening experience comfortable and enjoyable. To achieve this, our sound engineers tweaked the sound so that it comes as close to an ideal sound curve as possible. To get into specifics, Zinken’s custom-designed 40 mm dual diaphragm drivers are finely tuned to provide amazing sound across the entire frequency spectrum, with slight adjustments to the low and high frequencies.
But even if you’re not a DJ, Zinken is still great for everyday listening. We can confidently say that these are headphones you will never want to take off.
But don’t take our word for it. Pick up a pair on July 16 to find out exactly what we mean.

When one of our favorite magazine asked us to be part of the Wired Popup Store in NYC we of course said yes!
The result came to be the Urbanears Tanto Multicolor. While normally only available in 14 solid color options, the WIRED exclusive version of the TANTO is multicolored. Constructed at random, each separate component is a different color, and you won’t know what you get until you buy it and open the box. Just 220 were made and every pair is one of a kind.
