Lisa Looser for #30Thirty30
Art is my escape and the act of doing it has always been more important than the result.
To celebrate Plattan 2 Bluetooth’s 30+ hours of wireless playtime, we reached out to creators worldwide to help us create the ultimate 30 hour playlist. One hour a day for 30 days.
Exploring the relationship between our mortality as humans and nature, Swiss artist Lisa Looser breaks down barriers of what life is. Using whatever nature has left behind from some of the earth's creatures, whether it's animal skulls, fur or anything that at some point had was a living being, Lisa definitely questions the definition of mere existence. At first glance, a dark theme with a much lighter tone when viewed from different perspectives. Some of her art pieces dabble with with the concept of then and now. Using cut out sentences from old books to create textures in imagery that might be considered as blending the past with the present.
'Art is my escape and the act of doing it has always been more important than the result', Lisa explains.
'It's about getting lost. The music I listen to while I paint can take me to places where all my pain, my joy and my thoughts are hiding. So I can pour them out and paint them on a piece of wood and every piece becomes a part of my diary'.
