    Plattan 2 Bluetooth Launch Event

A look inside the launch event, exhibition and Pop Up store for Plattan 2 Bluetooth

     - More from Inside Urbanears

Cutting the cord can be emotional. Saying goodbye to something is never as easy as one might think, but it can also be the birth of something new. The launch of Plattan 2 Bluetooth was not only a celebration of a new headphone, but a celebration of liberation.

In order to share this moment, Urbanears invited friends and international guests to interact with the new Plattan 2 Bluetooth and experience the brand first hand. The event was fittingly located next to Plattan, the iconic pedestrian square at the heart of Stockholm which inspired the headphones’ name.

In cutting the cord, Urbanears wanted to pay tribute to these tactile fabric cables, a feature that has always been an integral part of the Plattan headphone since the brand started in 2008.  In collaboration with Urbanears, fashion designer Sandra Backlund exhibited five, one of a kind architectural knitwear pieces made entirely from the now obsolete cords. Having created all the music for the Plattan 2 Bluetooth campaign films, Fredrik Stjärne set the tone of the evening and guests were offered the exquisite mixology skills of Stockholm's Bränneri and the culinary artwork of Adam/Albin.

In order to share the experience with the rest of Stockholm, the Urbanears Plattan 2 Bluetooth Pop Up Store was opened up to the public for the following two days. Huge thanks to everyone who helped in this celebration!
