    Hellas
    The Story.
Hellas headphones are named after Hellasgården, a nature reserve and perpetual summer camp located 15 minutes from Stockholm’s city center. People go there year round to break a sweat, whether that means running the trails, doing pull ups in the outdoor gym, or getting naked in the public sauna.

The lake is full of activity too. Swimmers and kayakers in the summer, ice skaters and polar bear plungers in the winter. It’s not always about being active though. You’ll also find a fair share of picknickers and sunbathers, simply taking a break from city life.

"They fit really tight and I can really focus on my running"

    - Thomas

    Would recommend to anyone.

Issy September 5, 2018 These are the best headphones I've come across, both for sport and for casual listening. Sound quality is great, they don't budge whether you're running, doing deadlifts or sit ups and they're light and comfy. An easy 10/10.

For People Stuck B/W Getting These Or Apple Headphones

Brit July 14, 2018 First off, I purchased these summer 2016 and they have been holding me down ever since. Bluetooth headphones are tricky, especially when you intend to use them for workouts. I sweat profusely and I have never had a sound issue. B/c of how they're made, they can sustain A LOT. I've had a 20 pound backpack fall on these and all I had to do was untwist the top 2 metals wires that had been crushed. They were STILL functioning after that. HOWEVER, their range is not the best, and if you're an audiophile and want it to sound like God, Himself is singing to you...these ain't it, you won't be impressed with the sound quality. Also, the mesh earpads on mine no longer attach properly (which still doesn't stop me, I just hold them in place until they're on my head and they still do what they're supposed to do). My boyfriend has the powerbeats3 from apple and he is so annoyed with the amount of times he's had to replace them. I hate how he sounds on my end of the line when he uses them for phone calls but I have never heard this complaint from him while using my headphones. He's amazed with my hellas and the touch features it comes with. So I'm here to get my second pair because they are the best thing I can find for the price. Still room for improvement tho, hence the 3 stars.

Urbanears will be the only headphones I purchase from here on out

Cash May 14, 2018 1st pair I received had connection issues, customer service was beyond helpful and after a few attempts to fix ended up sending me a free replacement pair. These Hellas have been worn through grueling workouts and hold up day in and day out.

Best sports headphones I ever had.

Mariah May 7, 2018 Best headphones I ever had for training.
They don’t move on your head ( I run and jump a lot), and block all the noises around you, even the annoying loud music in the gym.
Very comfy and easy to control.
One disadvantage is that it’s sometimes too easy to control, when your arm is touching the headphone it easily jumps to a different song etc.

    Disappointed ...

Ramin May 1, 2018 As a long time fan of Urbanears earbuds I must admit that this is unfortunately a very disappointing design. The Bluetooth gets disconnected while biking specially in a bit windy climate. The sound quality is not what I expected from Urbanears. I would say it is fine for pop/ambient music but for metal, it loses so much and actually can bother people around you for much of the sonic realm seems like getting out rather than coming in to your ears!.. The touchpad is another headache. While working out, sometimes if your shoulder gets close to your headphone it can pause or interrupt the music. Overly sensitive sometimes and it sometimes it does not follow the given task such as going to next or previous song..
All in all, for picky music nerds I would not recommend this, but if you are a casual music listener who just wants to be entertained with music and not very picky about the quality of sound this might be a good pick.

    Definitely worth every penny.

Gandalf March 20, 2018 Bought these when they first came out. Back here looking for wireless for use with my bike/snowboarding helmet. These are by far my favorite head phones. I've washed the pads easily over 200 times. The little mesh bag that comes with them is what you're supposed to wash them in. I always wash them with at least some clothes in. I have had no issues with connectivity or swipe functions. Sound quality is great. I use with a Sony phone and PowerAMP I have them tweaked for workout sessions vs casual home. Only issue which is unavoidable if you ask me is getting sweaty on your shoulders and raising your arms above your head. That's caused it to pause on several occasions I'm just careful about it now.

    Solid Quality for Vigorous Workouts

James December 20, 2017 I've used mine for almost two years. They have been fantastic. I've run several half-marathons with them and workout with them 5-6 times a week. Compared to other light over the ear headphones they sound great. Not once has the battery gone dead. I gave it 4 stars because the usb port just stopped working and they don't charge anymore. I have rigorously used them, but my 2 year old phone still charges, so I think this can be improved.
The motion controls are fine, not perfect, but I'm glad they're there. Sometimes my shoulder touches the side of the headphones while I'm doing cable pull-downs at the gym which causes the music to pause, but it's not really an issue. Skipping songs is really easy.
I'm bummed about them not charging anymore. Usually I'm happy when my headphones break because it's an excuse to buy some nice new ones, but not this time. I think that shows how great they've been.

Very good sans the sweat blue tooth problem

DR August 14, 2017 I use my Hellas to pair with my pelaton bike. I sweat a lot and often by the end of the ride the pairing doesn't work and I suspect it because the pads are too wet. Have you heard of this before? Any suggestions?

Good (sport) bluetooth headphones but lots of room for improvement!

Del M August 10, 2017 I'll make this review sour/sweet and honest :). Hope this review helps future consumers in their decision to buy these & Urbanears in making strides to improve their product

    - Bluetooth capability: Satisfactory - problems connecting to Mac OSX and apple products, Bose products; connecting time is long and connection often drops. Functionality needs to be improved in next Gen development

    - Fit: Good - great for workouts, headphones fit tight on head with lots of movement

    - Sound quality: Just ok - these headphones are not going to compete with your higher end headphones like Bose, Beats or Sennheiser, but their market price point reflects that

    - Remote controls: Unsatisfactory - this functionality needs to be improved. Controls are either too sensitive, do not function or stop play...it's not an exaggeration to say that the control only functions properly less than 50% of time of us

Washable pads: Good - Pads function well (one of the reasons why I bought these headphones in the first place). They are washable but, as other reviewers mentioned, they aren't very robust - plastic components have separated from the fabric. Of course, Urbanears should offer replacements (this is just good 'repeat' business sense/future revenue stream opportunity), but the materials need work [fabric sweat wicking and comfort could be improved, fabric:plastic binding/adhesives needs improvement, headphone casing material could be more flexible AND durable - I could help Urbanears markedly improve their product materials development, since this area is where my professional expertise lies ;) ]

Earpiece design: Unsatisfactory - pad-to-earpiece fit is already deteriorating after only a few months of use. The 'clip in' design no longer affixes the pads to the earpieces, pads are held in place simply by tension of headphone bands - this needs to be improved for the next gen

Cables/wiring - The difference between these headphones being 'just another fair-priced bluetooth headphone set' on the market and being a current "must have fair-priced bluetooth headphones"/future "dominant headphone set in the low-mid range bluetooth headphones market" lies in advancements in the cable/wiring - Urbanears contact me for more info on this if you want to make your product better ;)

If you have a long commute, these are great!

Antoine August 9, 2017 I have owned these headphones for about a year and 4 months. Still going strong. These things are great for long commutes and just blocking out everyone at the office. I adore them and love just shoving them into my backpack. They're super durable. Sometimes the headband separates from the actual band piece, but it's not a big deal for me. I just clip it back onto the lego hole. The range is also great on these since I can get to one side of the office to the other and still have these on while my music's playing. It's great!
